Second Los Barriles Dog Show Heralded as Largest Community Event on East Cape
1,200 spectators and 200 participating dogs
The second Los Barriles Dog Show on February 26th drew crowds of over 1,200 people from across the community to enjoy hundreds of dogs either performing or taking part in events at the beautiful Hotel Palmas de Cortez.
Organized by The Baja Kennel Club team, including East Cape dog trainer Tracey Lewis and Emma Nicholson, the show raised $US thousands. The monies be split across 3 animal charities; ALMA Humanitaria, Amigos de Animales and SNAP.
This year, the show was supported by major sponsors inc. Forrajera de San Joaquin, PURINA Dog Chow, Van Wormer Resorts, Baja Beach Co & Annex Brands Inc. that enabled the show to grow in size in response to public demand.

Keep the Date - Los Barriles Dog Show coming Sunday, March 15th
The Los Barriles Dog Show will take place at the Hotel Palmas de Cortez in the center of town on Sunday March 15th 2015.
The good news is that EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO COME! It's going to be a fun-filled day for dog owners and spectators with additional entertainment including craft stalls, food stands, music, a raffle and bar.
The entry fee is $50 pesos per dog, or $20 pesos per spectator. Children under 12 years get in for free. Your dog is eligible for any event after paying the $50 peso entrance fee.
The event is being organised by the Baja Kennel Club, a group of volunteers who like to help raise money for a number of charities in the region. The Los Barriles Dog Show will help to raise money for neutering & spaying programs and recycling initiatives.

For 15 years, a talented band of actors and crew from the East Cape, Todos Santos and points in between have put their spin on an otherwise lofty Shakespearean play. In March 2015, they will present another original, family-friendly comedy that promises just the right balance of humor, drama and music.
Entitled "Shakespeare's Robin Hood OR a Funny Thing Happened On My Way Through Stratford Forest", the show is a retelling of the familiar legend of heroes and heroines in England during the reign of Richard the Lion-hearted and his evil brother, Prince John.
